The revolutions were sponsored.
The light was sold.
“There’s no poverty anymore,” the voice declares,
“only people not worth stealing from.”
FRAGMENT V – THE RESIDUE
Found within the Absent Center — where silence thinks itself.
The subject no longer seeks truth, only residue.
“I’m no longer afraid of not changing the world,” it says,
“only of never stopping to understand it.”
FRAGMENT IV – ASHES OF LIGHT
Recovered from the Bare Plateau — a land where truth burns before it’s spoken.
“I burned the word hope,” says the voice,
“it smelled like childhood.”
Ash remembers what fire forgets.
FRAGMENT III – THE MUTE AIR
Retrieved from a decayed neural circuit in the Weave.
The subject had no face — only signal.
Thoughts echo like static between abandoned minds.
“Everything misses me.”
